   Adobe Photoshop Lightroom

Both Adobe Photoshop Elements 5.0 and Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 1.0 allow photographers to create and customize Flash photo galleries using the Adobe Media Gallery, an open-source Flash project hosted on SourceForge. Flash developers wishing to create their own photo galleries for use within these applications may download this source code and use it as a guide for their own projects.

Once a custom .swf photo gallery has been made, Photoshop Elements 5.0 even has a nifty Gallery Maker system that allows developers to include it in the app. However, while Elements has its Gallery Maker, Lightroom does not have such a mechanism.

The following article explains how a Flash author may substitute their own swf for the one Lightroom uses.

Warning: The process for replacing the .swf file for the Mac version of Lightroom is fairly straight-forward while the process for replacing it on the PC versions requires a resource editor.

	Swapping the .swf resource - Mac version Find the Adobe Photoshop Lightroom application package on your system Right-click the package and choose 'Open Package' Navigate to: Contents/PlugIns Right-click on Web.agmodule and choose 'Show Package Contents' Navigate to: Contents/Resources/galleries/bluefire_gallery/resources/ Substitute 'gallery.swf' with your version of 'gallery.swf' When you re-start Lightroom, your swf should show up

	Swapping the .swf resource - PC version First, you will need a resource editor; Visual Studio contains one but for the purposes of this article we will use PE Explorer which has a free 30 day trial Start up PE Exlporer and navigate to: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop Lightroom\WebModule.agmodule Open the Resource Viewer Open 'SWF' Resource folder Navigate to: Galleries\Bluefire_Gallery\Resources Right click on Gallery.SWF Choose 'Edit Resource' Click the Folder Icon Select your new swf Save Resource Save WebModule.agmodule When you re-start Lightroom, your swf should show up
